Day 7: Energize Me Captain
Ways to BUMP your energy: (as about to be used by me)
1-run your arm under COLD water
2-drink tea/coffee (We all know we do this. There is no shame in our cuppas!)
3-Stretch. It makes your blood move and in turn wakes up your body a bit
4-Drink my BB Energize pre workout supplement. This stuff tastes (to me) icky.-my family loves it. BUT IT WORKS. It helps me get through the hard ones and on days like today, it keeps me going for hours!
5-eat to fuel not to comfort! No muffins etc. Eat proteins, fresh fruits, and complex carbs like steel cut oats if you want carbs. When we eat sugary or heavy wheat products it tastes and feels awesome for a few minutes. But it puts your body into a more "thanksgiving post meal" mindset as it were.
How to keep energy going:
1-DO NOT STOP. No really, even if you're taking a break...keep some part of you engaged or moving. If you need a physical break during the day do a crossword puzzle instead of total tv veg out (my go to is the TV or a book. No shame)
2- eat before you are totally hungry. Keeping your body fueled helps a lot!
3-don't over eat (again, turkey coma)
4-Jam some music or listen to an audio book as you do your work. It can totally change your vibe!
5-Go outside for a few minutes. If you can bare foot it on grass do it! Connect to the earth and breathe deeply for a few minutes. It will mentally relax you and help your body energize at the same time!
Ok. SO now that I have almost finished my tea... and am about to chug this stuff (why oh why Lord do I have different taste buds from everyone I know?!) I am going to 54321... HIT PLAY and work out.
Today I didn't have to stop ONCE!! Hooray!
