Day two, a daily update for you.
Well helloooo and thanks for joining me!
Today started abnormally early at 2am, but hey, I was able to prep stuff for this blog and do some fb catch up.
I also finished DAY 2 of 100 Morning Meltdown by 625am so there's that goodness. I tell ya, it felt great! I may not have been graceful but I sure as heck did it! AND ... my 100 Morning Meltdown kit arrived today! OMG! The recipies look soooo good and the journal is beautiful and super helpful. And the wall tracker looks great next to my tv 😉
I was also totally surprised to see that todays workout was shorter and utterly different from Day 1! I actually loved todays, although truth be told.... my weights haven't been picked up yet so I may change my mind on this workout later 😂.
The miracle morning means that I also had time to get lunches prepped
make a french toast breakfast for kiddos,
take care of dogs and rabbits and chickens before they woke up too. And I got to see this sweet scene when it was time for getting up 💙
I even got my own shakeology breakfast in before the main theme of the day kicked in
Today was far more of a Concious Parenting day than anything else.
Today was the first day of school. Which means my first grader- who has anxiety and hyperactivity (and NO flight response... it's all fight and rage) who also missed last nights dose of meds due to falling asleep early-had a really really hard time getting ready for school. He was utterly melting down, alternating rage fits, and trying everything in the book to not go to school.
Instead of it turning into a full blown ugly wrestling match and ruining a large part of our morning... I listened. REALLY listened to his behavior. He was afraid. New city. New school. New kids. Utterly unknown he was walking into. He was scared of being alone, people being mean, or not knowing what they expected at this school. Which came out as "I won't go until I get new shoes that don't look all messed up!" (he literally outgrew his other shoes 2 days ago and we haven't replaced them yet) and "You can't make me!" and "I HATE SCHOOL!!" And throwing clothes and hiding under a bed. It took over half an hour but I finally got him to come out from under the bed, accept a little comfort and then carry on.
***I WILL UPDATE PARTICULAR MOMENTS AND THINGS USED IN THE AM! I Have a major headache atm-didn't hydrate well today at all!
We ended up walking into classrooms happy and confident. And after school? (which by the way was described as "awesome and so much fun" by my 4th grader and "turned out pretty great" from the first grader) We went swimming again!
I have more to share from the lessons today, but this headache is morphing into migrain and I have a workout in the am and a post for you to do too! So I shall say goodnight, and update more in the am.
I'd like to share a few 5 Second Rule wins from the day:
54321... he isn't trying to make us late. He needs you to be his rock in this stormy sea. BE THE ROCK.
54321... put down the pretty sportsbra. You don't need it and it isn't in the budget. I promise you'll find one pretty later on.
54321...Get dinner going.
54321...sit down and watch the movie with the kids, yes the cleaning will wait.
